摘要: Lake water temperature is negatively correlated with fatty acids content and P:C ratio in green algae. Hence, elevated may indirectly reduce the fitness of Daphnia due to induced decrease algal food quality. The aim this study was test hypotheses that quality decreases increasing its culture large-bodied are more vulnerable temperature-related deterioration than small-bodied ones. Laboratory life-table experiments were performed at 20°C D. pulicaria cucullata fed alga Scenedesmus obliquus, had been grown temperatures 16, 24 or 32°C. somatic growth rates both species decreased significantly effect pronounced cucullata. In former species, age first reproduction increased clutch size algae growth, while no significant changes these two parameters observed latter species. proportion egg-bearing females results support notion also suggest might be less
