摘要: The relationship between neuronal morphology and function may be approached from two different points of view. It has been stated in the past that neurons which have similar inputs whose axons terminate on target cells functions (“l’identite ou la dissemblance physiologique des neurones se jugera exclusivement par similitude difference de leurs relations”—Ramon y Cajal, 1909, p. 149). This statement summarizes view held by many circuit analysts neurobiology today, namely shape little to do with their integrative properties. In a holistic sense, therefore, this approach postulates connectivity is dominant morphological parameter determining functional properties nervous system.
