摘要: This paper proposes a novel single-stage high-power-factor electronic ballast with symmetrical half-bridge topology for fluorescent lamps. The proposed only uses to procure the functions of boost power-factor-correction converter and series parallel-loaded inverter. In spite its simplicity, an excellent performance concerning load supply is achieved, ensuring sinusoidal in-phase current. conventional circuit has larger conduction losses because (PFC) power flow path always includes two diode from front-end bridge rectifier one switch loss. PFC drops in current paths. Therefore, it can provide lower loss compared one. A prototype designed 40-W lamp operating at 50-kHz switching frequency 110-V line voltage built tested verify analytical predictions.
