摘要: Abstract Novel expressions are developed for the thermal resistance associated with an array consisting of periodic layers metal fins and open-cell, high porosity foam attached annularly to a base cylinder. Predictions generated new verified by comparison experimental measurements involving such cylindrical heat pipe. Parametric simulations performed assess performance over range geometric configurations, contact resistances, air velocities. Analytically predicted rates annular fin array, foam-only combined fin-foam compared, illustrating improved made possible combining into composite array.
