Direct digital radiography for the detection of periodontal bone lesions.

摘要: In this study the diagnostic accuracy of D-speed and E-speed film in detection simulated periodontal bone lesions was compared with that an electronic direct digital image receptor. Lesions increasing depth were created 11 human hemimandibles at buccal cortical plate interproximal marginal area by means 1.4 mm diameter round bursa. Specimens imaged each lesion stage use all three receptors. Nine viewers used a 5-point rating scale to evaluate whether present or absent resulting images. Receiver operating characteristic curves generated, maximum-likelihood curve areas calculated. The under as index accuracy. mean receiver for film, system 0.745 +/- 0.038, 0.740 0.741 0.037, respectively. Critical ratio analysis compare means. No statistical difference found between any receptors (p > 0.05) 1.0 3.0 depth, which suggested performed comparably conventional systems.
