摘要: Genistein, one of the predominant soy isoflavones, has been shown to compete with 17beta-estradiol for estrogen receptor binding because its structural similarity, resulting in agonistic or antagonistic activity. It causes inhibition cell growth breast and prostate cancers vivo vitro. From gene expression profiles, genistein found regulate genes that are critical control proliferation, cycle, apoptosis, oncogenesis, transcription regulation, signal transduction pathways. reported induces apoptosis inhibits activation NF-kappaB Akt signaling pathways, both which known maintain a balance between survival apoptosis. Recently, we sensitized cancer cells induced by chemotherapeutic agents including docetaxel, gemcitabine cisplatin through inactivation multiple lines. To enhance anti-cancer activity genistein, have synthesized structurally-modified derivatives isoflavone based on requirements optimal effect. We these synthetic exerted higher lower IC50. These also more compared genistein. results suggest may be promising chemoprevention therapy either alone combination existing agents.
