摘要: We examine the relationship between height and reproductive success (RS) in women from a natural fertility population Gambia. observe predicted trade-off adult age at first birth: who are tall adulthood have later births than short do. However, advantages during rest of their careers, primarily lower mortality rates children. This ultimately leads to higher fitness for taller women, despite delayed start reproduction. The RS appears be entirely due physiological benefits being tall. There is no evidence that female related patterns marriage or divorce this population.
