摘要: This year marks the 30th anniversary of first description cellular distribution actin within a yeast cell. Since then advances in both molecular genetics and imaging technologies have ensured research these simple model organisms has blazed trail field actomyosin research. Many proteins their functions are functionally conserved human cells. This, combined with experimental speed, minimal cost ease use make yeasts extremely attractive for researching diverse processes, including those involving actomyosin. In this chapter, current state-of-the-art fluorescence methodologies being applied to research, together an honest appraisal limitations, such as pitfalls that should be considered when fluorescently labelling interacting dynamic cytoskeleton, will discussed. Papers describing established techniques developed localisation studies highlighted. provide reader informed overview arsenal available researcher encourage them consider novel ways unicellular eukaryotes could used address own questions.
