摘要: Abstract Hypericum is a genus of flowering plants and presents nearly worldwide distribution. The relevance its species mainly based on the occurrence specialised secondary metabolites exhibiting wide range pharmaceutical cosmeceutical properties. most well-reported in last decade H. perforatum, together with exceptional polycyclic polyprenylated acylphloroglucinols metabolites. Several inhibitory enzyme properties such as anti-tyrosinase, anti-hyaluronidase, anti-collagenase, anti-elastase, along relevant anti-inflammatory antimicrobial activities, have been reported numerous biological studies concerning this genus. From 2010 to date were published more than 3000 articles; therefore, an updated summary their related bioactive compounds necessary. This detailed analysis will be focused cosmeceutical-related bioactivity, phytochemical composition, products processes that developed using generated knowledge. Despite all progress made recent years, which contributed state-of-the-art improvement, only few regarding dedicated investigating mechanisms action safety (toxicology) well-validated methodologies. A strategic partnership between R&D vital enterprises could requisite promote development higher number efficient marketable Hypericum-derived products.
