摘要: [1] Estimates of summer sea surface temperatures (SSSTs) derived from planktic foraminiferal associations using the Modern Analog Technique and combined with isotopic analyses determination ice-rafted debris, mirror Pleistocene evolution Subantarctic waters in Atlantic Ocean. The SSSTs indicate that isotherms define modern polar front zone front, were located at more northerly latitudes (up to 7°) during most investigated period, which covers past 550 kyr. Exceptions are climatic optima early Holocene, marine isotope stages (MIS) 5.5, 7.1, 7.5, 9.3, presumably MIS 11.3 when exceeded values by 1°–5°C. close similarity between SSST Vostok temperature indicates strong regional correlation. Both records show 9.3 was warmest period last 420 kyr whereas obtained for overestimated due carbonate dissolution. Spectral analysis corroborates initiation warming southern high heralds start deglaciation on Northern Hemisphere.
