摘要: During the recent Arctic Gas and Aerosols Sampling Project (AGASP) flight series, absorption of solar radiation by haze was measured directly for first time. Absorption in three narrow-band channels, measurements were used to calibrate a high-resolution solar-flux model, which then compute atmospheric heating rates. Analyses data from flights with estimated optical depths 0.26, 0.17, 0.31 at 500 nm produced instantaneous rates order 1.1 1.5 K day−1. These are greater factor 2 3 than absence haze. Possible climatic implications briefly discussed.
