摘要: Silicon nanowire optical rectangular waveguide (SNORW)-based biosensor is proposed for the first time to detect deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) hybridization. It works on principle of detecting change in refractive index during hybridization process when double strand DNA splits into single strands or two renaturate a DNA. Considering fabrication 220- and 330-nm silicon technology, typical configuration SNORW optimized provide physical compactness high-power confinement. Next, parameters characterizing link layer are added, power confinement ascertained (dsDNA) (ssDNA) ssDNA form dsDNA. A mean enhance difference presence 100% dsDNA also proposed. As splitting/renaturation DNAs slow process, different percentages coexist evaluated.
