摘要: Invasive species pose a serious threat to aquatic and riparian habitats around the world. Inherently, invasive detection monitoring are an integral part of robust program. Within Interior Columbia River Upper Missouri Basins, have potential alter degrade areas within steelhead (Oncorhynchus mykiss) bull trout (Salvelinus confluentus) habitat. The USDA Forest Service’s PACFISH/INFISH Biological Opinion Effectiveness Monitoring program (PIBO) is tasked with assessing integrity in-stream habitat that supports these other fish. We report PIBO vegetation program’s biological invasion detections for study years 2003-2011 highlight current threats resources. compiled stream locations at least one weed occurrence assessed richness intensity. proportion reaches invaded based on their management classification (reference, managed natural resources or designated grazing areas), mapped plant each reach. conclude condition communities Basins been altered by invasions may threaten long-term ecosystem area.
