摘要: Abstract Long-term monitoring is important for ensuring effective conservation of raptor populations. Raptors also can serve as indicators biodiversity and ecosystem condition. Therefore, populations yields the added benefit helping to evaluate status ecosystems. Spring counts migrating raptors at concentration points may contribute these goals, particularly by providing insight into vital demographic rates underlying population trends. Although much known about value autumn migration in North America, little research has addressed spring counts. We compared seven watchsites those matched region (Southwest, Great Lakes, Northeast) assess monitoring.
