Monitoring global forest cover using data mining

摘要: Forests are a critical component of the planet's ecosystem. Unfortunately, there has been significant degradation in forest cover over recent decades as result logging, conversion to crop, plantation, and pasture land, or disasters (natural man made) such fires, floods, hurricanes. As result, attention is being given sustainable use forests. A key effective management quantifiable knowledge about changes cover. This requires identification characterization discovery relationship between these natural anthropogenic variables.
