摘要: The removal of a ring phloem, named girdling, is used for manipulating carbohydrate content above and below the girdle. To investigate impact girdling on leaf water status, an experiment was carried out in Alhagi sparsifolia Shap. Karelinia caspica (Pall.) Less., which grew Cele oasis-desert transitional zone with treatment control, semi-girdling (SG), full-girdling (FG). results showed that after 30 days stomatal conductance (Gs), transpiration rate (Tr), root content, respiration rate, potential decreased, increased under FG two species. On 1st day, almost all treatments no change these parameters, except full-girdled leaves A. sparsifolia, exhibited reduction Gs Tr, increase midday potential. SG similar to 30th day sparsifolia; however, K. caspica, there treatment. result present work indicated decreases status over long time. Within short time, lead also decreased time but not caspica. Most within Overall, affects it depends species, degree girdling.
