摘要: In an ideal case, assembly algorithm should merge overlapped reads to one long continuous sequence, called contig, which is a chromosome in the primitive genome. But due sequencing errors and existence of unsequenced parts, contigs gained from are not complete enough form chromosomes. Even with high coverage, there still non-zero probability for parts errors.
