摘要: In an ideal case, assembly algorithm should merge overlapped reads to one long continuous sequence, called contig, which is a chromosome in the primitive genome. But due sequencing errors and existence of unsequenced parts, contigs gained from are not complete enough form chromosomes. Even with high coverage, there still non-zero probability for parts errors. The ability assembler also affected by repeated regions As shown Fig. 3.3 previous chapter, two different repeat areas mapped because weakness detection assembler. Figure 4.1 shows how typical works overlap contig generation phases.
