摘要: Abstract Driving safety deteriorated dramatically on ice-covered road pavement in winter. However, it is a challenge to remove thick ice layer from the surface with conventional technologies. In this study, microwave heating performance of asphalt mixtures containing steel wool fibers was tested. Firstly, mechanism deicing using introduced. The effect fiber air void content mixture studied, and distribution observed. specimens different types contents were tested under temperature of −5 °C and −10 °C. ice-thawing time measured initial thickness thawing evaluated. Finally, uniformity sustainability aspects technique assessed. Results show that optimal for are 0.3% 000#, 0.6% 0# 0.9%% 2#, respectively. an of −10 °C 9.3% (000#), 11.3% (0#) 14.8% (2#) higher than of −5 °C. addition, every 1 cm increase requires 5.9% 7.7% 13.0% time. A larger diameter helps improve uniformity. At last, capacity will not be significantly reduced by repeated service first five winters.
