摘要: Pharmacoepidemiology studies patterns of medicines use—also known as drug utilization research—which is an important component pharmacy practice research. also the relationship between treatment or exposure and outcomes in large populations under nonexperimental situations over time. This chapter provides introduction to pharmacoepidemiology. It discusses key concepts involved studying association outcomes. These include forming a research question, considering sources data, defining study population, exposures range designs used pharmacoepidemiological including cohort studies, case-control design, within-subject methods, cross-sectional ecological quasi-experimental designs. Frequently metrics understand medication adherence are introduced. draws on challenges such selection bias well commonly analytical techniques overcome these challenges.
