摘要: Background Primary care, an essential determinant of health system equity, efficiency, and effectiveness, is threatened by inadequate supply distribution the provider workforce. The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) has been a frontrunner in use nurse practitioners (NPs) physician assistants (PAs). Evaluation roles impact NPs PAs VHA critical to ensuring optimal care for veterans may inform best practices other settings around world. purpose this study was characterize primary examine whether their patients patient activities were, on average, less medically complex than those physicians.
