摘要: Silver enlargement of small colloidal gold particles has been extensively used for the light microscopical visualization probes. Very recently, a few investigators have employed physical developers in electron microscopy (both pre-embedding and on-grid staining methods). We now demonstrate that development advantageously can be exploited labelling biological surfaces scanning microscopy. This novel application silver enhancement is characterized by high detection efficiency. Thus, specimens are labelled with probes affording immunocytochemical efficiency but being impossible to detect present microscopes. These subsequently electronmicro-scopically visualized enhancement.
