摘要: The aim of the present investigation was to develop sustained release matrix tablets containing methimazole. different batches were manufactured by direct compression method using hydrophilic swellable carbopol and ethocel eudragit RL100 in combination Minipress characterized FTIR, DSC, vitro mucoadhesion, swelling, erosion drug stability studies. It found that, formulation batch MT 6 has a mucoadhesion force about 14.813 ± 0.085 N. exhibited adhesion retention time 11.16 0.10 h entire region GIT with maximum swelling up 59.52 4.93 %. is revealed that both mechanism diffusion erosion. Carbopol 934P along Eudragit ethyl cellulose be controlling rate methimazole for 20 h. can concluded there promising potential this system control extend release.
