摘要: Climate models using different dynamical cores can simulate significantly winter Arctic climates even if equipped with virtually same physics schemes. Current climate simulated by the GCM cubed-sphere grid spectral element method (SE core) exhibited warmer surface air temperature (SAT) compared to that latitude-longitude finite volume (FV core). Compared FV core, SE core additional adiabatic warming in lower atmosphere and this was consistent eddy-forced secondary circulation. Downward longwave radiation further enhanced near-surface a higher SAT of about 1.9 K. Furthermore, atmospheric response reduced sea ice conditions physical settings, only showed robust cooling over North America. We emphasize special attention is needed selecting simulation associated teleconnection patterns.
