Liver biopsy with a needle of 0.7 MM outer diameter. Safety and quantitative yield.

摘要: . The study presents investigation potentialities and risks of a liver biopsy method with very fine needle (0.7 mm outer diameter). In 2 611 biopsies serious complication was seen in one case, an intrahepatic haematoma, which had to be evacuated surgically. Otherwise even minor inconveniences the patients proved exceptional. Specimens for cytological examination were obtained 99% biopsies, 34 41 fragments coherent tissue protein content varying from 32 900 μg. specimens satisfactory electron microscopy under certain conditions also chemical analysis tissue.
