摘要: Abstract The microstructure of horizontal continuous casting Al–12%Si alloy billets was optimized by fine-grained structural materials the same composition as master alloy. effect on morphologies and crystal defects eutectic Si studied SEM, TEM HRTEM. results show that secondary dendrite arm spacing α-Al decreases change from coarse needle-like to fine fibrous shape with 30% addition. Furthermore, nature distribution inside crystals are quite different before. Two oblique crossing sets twins present in modified Si. In addition, HRTEM reveal growth mechanism transforms step twin plane re-entrant due addition materials.
