摘要: Building upon a collection with functionality for discovery and analysis has been described by Lynch as `layered' approach to digital libraries. Meanwhile, corpora have grown in size, their is necessarily supplemented automated application of computational methods, which can create layers information intricate complex those within the content itself. This combination - aggregating homogeneous collections, specialised analyses, new observations requires flexible systems implementation enables pathways through via common points understanding, while simultaneously accommodating emergence previously unforeseen layers. In this paper we follow Linked Data build layered library based on from Internet Archive Live Music Archive. Starting recorded audio basic Archive, first deploy layer catalogue metadata allows an initial if imperfect consolidation performer, song, venue information. A processing extracts features original recordings, workflow provenance, summary feature metadata. further provides tools user combine data, discovered reconciled using interlinked below. Finally, demonstrate feasibility system investigation `key typicality' across performances. highlights need incorporate robustness inevitable `imperfections' when undertaking scholarship library, be that mislabelling, poor quality audio, or intrinsic limitations methods. We do so not assumption `perfect' version reached; but key benefit allow accurate representations discovered, combined, investigated informed interpretation.
