摘要: To study the influence of hydrogen on intergranular corrosion mechanism a 2024 aluminium alloy, samples were precharged by cathodic polarisation and then exposed to NaCl solution. EBSD analyses SEM observations showed that increased number corroded interfaces led embrittlement low-angle grain boundaries which not susceptible without precharging. The increase reactivity alloy in presence gave new insight into mechanism: corrosion-induced promoted propagation partially controlled defect morphology.
