摘要: Calendars are broadly used in society to display temporal information, and events. This paper describes a new R package with functionality organize data, collected on sub-daily resolution, into calendar layout. The function `frame_calendar` uses linear algebra the date variable restructure data format lending itself layouts. user can apply grammar of graphics create plots inside each cell, thus displays synchronize neatly ggplot2 graphics. motivating application is studying pedestrian behavior Melbourne, Australia, based counts which captured at hourly intervals by sensors scattered around city. Faceting usual features such as day month, was insufficient examine behavior. Making monthly helps understand patterns relative events work days, weekends, holidays, special layout algorithm has several options variations. It implemented sugrrants.
