摘要: With particular reference to the role of renormalization group approach and Ward identities, we start by recalling some old features one-dimensional Luttinger liquid as prototype non-Fermi-liquid behavior. Its dimensional crossover Landau normal Fermi implies that a non-Fermi liquid, as, e.g., phase cuprate high temperature superconductors, can be maintained in d>1, only presence sufficiently singular effective interaction among charge carriers. This is case when, nearby an instability, mediated fluctuations. We are then led introduce specific superconductivity cuprates example avoided quantum criticality. will disentangle fluctuations which act mediators electron-electron interaction, enlightening possible order competing with mechanism for behavior metallic phase. paper not meant comprehensive review. Many important contributions considered. also avoid using extensive technicalities making full calculations refer original papers many good available reviews. here follow one line reasoning guided our research activity this field.
