摘要: To the Editor. —We have read with interest article by Johns et al 1 on meningovascular neurosyphilis and pure motor hemiplegia. While we found information of value since it increases our knowledge about causes this lacunar syndrome, think that one authors' statements should be reconsidered: "... among inflammatory arteriopathies, only syphilis tuberculosis are associated meningitis." Cysticercosis, most common parasitic disease central nervous system, 2 is a well-recognized cause both arteriopathy meningitis. 2,3 Meningeal cysticerci usually induce subacute, chronic, or recurrent meningitis affection blood vessels near parasites.
