摘要: The use of plant biomass as feedstock for biomaterial and biofuel production is relevant in the current bio-based economy scenario valorizing renewable resources. Fungi, which degrade complex recalcitrant polymers, secrete different enzymes that hydrolyze cell wall polysaccharides. present review discusses research trends on fungal, well extremophilic hydrolases can withstand extreme physico-chemical conditions required efficient industrial processes. Secretomes fungi from phyla Ascomycota, Basidiomycota, Zygomycota Neocallimastigomycota are presented along with metabolic cues (nutrient sensing, coordination carbon nitrogen metabolism) affecting their composition. We conclude by suggesting further avenues focused one hand a comprehensive analysis physiology epigenetics underlying degrading enzyme other proteins unknown function metagenomics consortia. advances consolidated bioprocessing, altered secretory pathways creation designer plants also examined. Furthermore, recent developments enhancing activity, stability reusability based synergistic, proximity entropic effects, fusion enzymes, structure-guided recombination between homologous magnetic considered view to improving saccharification.
