摘要: During the last 15 years, researchers have shown that a large percentage of persons with severe or profound mental retardation multiple handicaps serious sleep problems. These problems can cause emotional and physical burdens for caretakers, interfere persons' daily learning occupational performance, and/or exacerbate deviant behaviors. Several studies been conducted to assess behavioral pharmacological strategies (e.g., bedtime fading response cost, extinction, chronotherapy, use melatonin) reducing Those are reviewed here effectiveness, suitability, practicality, acceptability discussed.
