摘要: Background Depression is also common with older age. Alzheimer's disease (AD) studies suggest that both cerebrospinal fluid and positron emission tomography (PET) amyloid biomarkers are associated more depressive symptoms in cognitively normal adults. The recent availability of tau radiotracers offers the ability to examine vivo tauopathy. It unclear if biomarker depression diagnosis. Objective We examined imaging were a diagnosis among adults (Clinical Dementia Rating = 0) whether antidepressants modified this relationship. Methods Among 301 participants, logistic regression models evaluated PET was depression, while another model tested interaction between antidepressant use. A second set substituted for tau. (yes/no) made during an annual clinical assessment by clinician. Antidepressant use determined comparing medications participants used list 30 commonly antidepressants. All adjusted age, sex, education, race, apolipoprotein ɛ4. Similar explored association symptoms. Results Participants elevated twice as likely be depressed. relationship where who taking had greater odds being Relatedly, not depression. Conclusions Our results demonstrate tau, amyloid, Additionally, interacts increase
