摘要: Banana is the fourth most important food crop worldwide. However, its production has been threatened by banana streak disease, caused virus (BSV). Despite this situation, little known about inter-relationships between symptom severity and cultivar/virus genotypes. Symptom assessment for sixty five symptomatic samples was carefully done. The rolling circle amplification technique used to identify species (isolate) infecting each sample. Mysore isolates (BSMysV) cultivars containing balbisiana (B) component were associated with severe disease symptoms. Key words : severity, (BSV) isolate, amplification.
