摘要: One-hundred patients underwent temporal lobectomy for control of epilepsy and had follow-up 1.5–12 years later. Fifty cases were operated on under local 50 general anesthesia. Seventy-two percent anesthesia seizure-free from surgery, whereas only 54% seizure-free. Although this difference is not statistically significant, it shows a clinically meaningful trend toward an improved seizure outcome the group. There was no in morbidity between two groups. Because we can find demonstrable advantage to routine lobe surgery anesthesia, now resect all mesial foci even when they reside within speechdominant hemisphere.
