摘要: Gingival depigmentation, a procedure for establishing pink-white aesthetics, can be performed using different techniques. Objective assessment of the efficacy one technique over another aid in determining most efficient method. This study was done to objectively compare three methods depigmentation: cryosurgery, electrosurgery and LASER, photometry image tracing analysing software, ImageJ. Thirty subjects between 20 60 years who reported Department Periodontology dental teaching hospital with complaint pigmented gingiva were divided into groups randomly depigmentation or LASER. The distribution pigmentation assessed the gingival index (GPI) intensity analysed parameters at baseline, immediate post-operative phase 1-, 3- 6-month post-depigmentation. data obtained ANOVA post hoc Bonferroni test. There reduction all initial period following depigmentation. Beyond 3 months, increased cryosurgery group, followed by LASER groups. Using ImageJ assess pigmentation, it found that 6 density greater Results indicate although has greatest effect on is modality choice from perspective patient acceptability pigmentation.
