摘要: PURPOSE Food addiction (FA) is related to greater body mass index (BMI), eating-disorder psychopathology, food craving, and psychosocial impairment. Less known regarding the utility of FA severity specifiers, as measured by number symptoms endorsed on Yale Addiction Scale (YFAS 2.0). METHODS Participants (N = 1854) were recruited from Amazon Mechanical Turk complete an online survey eating behaviors. completed self-report measures assessing FA, psychopathology (Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire), craving (Food Craving Inventory). Using ANCOVA, adjusted for multiple comparisons covariates (e.g., OBEs), group reported significantly lower levels shape concern (η2 = 0.05; p < 0.001), weight (η2 = 0.04; (η2 = 0.15; global (η2 = 0.06; p < 0.001) than mild, moderate, or The dietary restraint (η2 = 0.01; p < 0.01) higher scores (η2 = 0.02; compared group. CONCLUSION Our findings parallel specifiers literature substance use disorders also indicating limited based symptom count. Future research should investigate alternative targets discriminating FA.
