摘要: This study focuses on the theoretical analysis, design, fabrication and characterization of a magnetorheological (MR) fluid damper for horizontal axis, front-loading washing machine. In such machines, there are two main cycles; spin cycles. During acceleration from cycle to high-speed spin, tub passes through its resonant speed requiring relatively high damping. On other hand, damping results in increased force transmission housing noise at cycle. Controllability MR allows adjustment requirements different cycles helps reduce while limiting motion resonance. A new valve is used design machine satisfy application. Fabricated prototype characterized using harmonic displacement input. Test good agreement with predictions.
