摘要: Abstract The present paper deals with the preparation of tungsten-substituted molybdenum disulfide, Mo 1− x W S 2 (0≤ ≤1) compounds and their characterization by various physicochemical methods. X-ray studies confirmed that these crystallized in a layer type hexagonal structure. line profile analysis techniques such as method variance Fourier have been used for microstructural to find out information about particle size, r.m.s. strain, variability interlayer spacing, fraction planes affected defects, dislocation density, stacking fault probability radial distribution function calculating coupling constants mean-square displacements, etc. Room-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements thermoelectric power experiments temperature variation conductivity (25–350°C) confirmed, respectively, diamagnetic n- p-type semiconducting behaviour . Thermal stability air inert atmosphere has also carried up 1000°C. These indicated are nearly stable 1000°C atmosphere, whereas, air, oxidative degradation started at 400°C. nature oxidized products studied analysis. Scanning electron micrograph reported here.
