摘要: Ricin, derived from the castor bean plant, is a highly potent toxin, classified as potential bioterror agent. Current methods for early detection of ricin poisoning are limited in selectivity. MicroRNAs (miRNAs), which naturally occurring, negative gene expression regulators, known their tissue specific pattern and stability tissues blood. While various approaches have been investigated, miRNAs remain underexplored. We evaluated effect pulmonary exposure to on miRNA profiles mouse lungs peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). Significant changes lung levels were detected following intoxication, specifically regarding be involved innate immunity pathways. Transcriptome analysis same revealed activation several immune regulation pathways cell recruitment. Our work contributes understanding role intoxication.
