摘要: Abstract Personal mastery is an important determinant in shaping physical health across middle and late life. The modified effect of on relation between frailty adverse outcome remains unclear. main purpose this study was to evaluate the prognostic role among older people by using a nationwide representative population-based cohort. In total, 715 community-dwelling participants aged 54 years over recruited 2000 received second visit 6 later. represented Pearlin score, defined Fried criteria. Multivariate generalized linear mixed analysis used examine association interaction scores for activities daily living decline. Overall, prevalence prefrail were 9.7% 48.8%. 6-year period, 94 (13.1%) experienced functional Compared with function nondecliners, decliners had greater proportion (26.6% vs 7.1%; P < 0.001) lesser score (17.2 18.7; 0.001). After adjusting basic demography, healthy behavior, cognitive function, multimorbidity, status significantly interacted (coefficient estimate: -0.80, standard error: 0.23, = negative coefficient estimate indicated that self-control, is, self-mastery, may attenuate effects outcomes. Similar results shown when subjects baseline deficits excluded analysis. conclusion, high self-mastery attenuates
