摘要: Flavonoids content, antibacterial and antioxidant activities of Brazilian Venezuelan propolis from stingless bees, Melipona quadrifasciata, compresssipes, Tetragonisca angustula, Nannotrigona sp. were evaluated using ethanolic extracts (EEP) against Gram positives bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus Micrococcus luteus. The samples collected in three locations, Sao Paulo state, Brazil, Miranda Guarico states, Venezuela, November 2003 to April 2004. results showed that the flavonoid content was very low for all samples, between 0.19 0.32%. activity lower than 22 sec (3-5 average). EEP quadrifasciata bees higher other bees. All high activity, with an inhibition halo 11 30 mm, luteus, samples. studied despite flavonoids percentages
