摘要: Quantitative autoradiography was used to evaluate the effects of sex and either 1 or 5 daily 2-hour sessions restraint stress on binding at 5-HT1A, 5-HT1C 5-HT2 receptors in rat dorsal hippocampus. Neither nor were found have 5-HT1c receptors. However, increased [3H]8-hydroxy-2-(di-n-propylamino)tetralin 5-HT1A CA4 region infrapyramidal dentate gyrus. In addition, levels oriens lacunosum moleculare layers CA1 significantly higher female rats. estradiol benzoate plus progesterone had hippocampal 5-HTIA ovariectomized rats, making it unlikely that differences related stages estrous cycle. Stress-induced corticosterone (CORT) females. Although CORT blood obtained during decreased from session both male decrease became significant females only. Female rats also displayed activity open field. field reduced after restraint, these decreases not significant. Results are discussed relation anxiety depression.
