摘要: Strain CECT 7735T, a marine Gram-reaction negative, aerobic, non-motile bacterium, was isolated from coastal seawater in Valencia, Spain. 7735T is chemoorganotrophic, mesophilic, slightly halophilic, grows at 15–28 °C but not 4 or 37 °C, requires for growth and up to 6 % salinity. The major cellular fatty acid summed feature 8 (C18 : 1ω7c and/or C18 : 1ω6c). G+C content of the genome 55.7 mol%. Comparative analysis 16S rRNA gene sequence shows strain affiliated family Rhodobacteraceae , class Alphaproteobacteria , with highest similarities Phaeobacter species (97.0–97.5 %), Shimia (96.5–97.3 %) Pseudopelagicola gijangensis (96.5 %). Further phylogenomic through up-to-date-bacterial core (UBCG) set showed P. gijangensis to be its closest relative. Average nucleotide identity silico DNA–DNA hybridization values are lower than 85 21 %, respectively, phylogenetic relatives, suggesting that represents new species. average amino value over 70 % type gijangensis and all those These values, together UBCG trees, suggest gijangensis belong same genus Pseudopelagicola should reclassified as We conclude Shimia , which we propose name Shimia thalassica sp. nov. In addition, gijangensis is Shimia gijangensis comb. From study, it can concluded Thalassobius activus should Cognatishimia as Cognatishimia activa
