摘要: Formation of a functional cardiovascular system is arguably the most fundamental process in embryogenesis, perhaps second only to gastrulation. Underlying its essential role exchange respiratory gases and delivery nutrients throughout embryo carefully orchestrated temporal spatial pattern events whereby cells become specified, determined then differentiated. This chapter outlines some key aspects heart morphogenesis, with emphasis on genesis progenitor populations that lead formation remodeling transitory tissues. The goal impart general understanding potential developmental targets chemical or biological agents engender defects newborn.
