摘要: Hydraulic machinery components made of grey cast iron (FG 260 grade) are preferred for engineering application because their excellent damping properties. However when such materials exposed to mining environments they exhibit poor erosion resistance without meeting estimated life time. In order enhance the service material hydraulic components, WC–Co–Cr thermal spray coating was identified. Grey samples with and were subjected slurry jet tests by varying impingent velocity angle under two different pH levels at 3 7 which pertain environment. XRD characterization done identify confirm carbide phases present. Surface morphology studies carried SEM on both substrate coating, revealed surface, due ploughing mechanism. case oblique impact, degradation is micro cutting matrix At normal impingement, fluctuating stress creates cracks, interlink each other thereby causing material.
