摘要: Abstract The density and viscosity values of the binary mixtures {poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG400) + methoxybenzene, or + ethoxybenzene} have been measured at T = (298.15, 308.15, 318.15) K. From these experimental values, excess molar volume, apparent specific partial volume solute, solvent Gibbs free energy activation computed over entire range composition three temperatures. data, thermodynamic functions estimated for each mixture. obtained results interpreted in light polymer–solvent interactions packing effects. signs deviations used to obtain some information regard existence between PEG400 solvents molecules. changes entropy enthalpy from initial state transition were also calculated order see which one controls viscous flow process studied polymer solutions. adequately fitted Redlich–Kister polynomial. Apparent correlated with suitable equation. different models proposed correlating solutions or liquid (segment-based-Eyring–NRTL, segment-based-Eyring–Wilson, Grunbreg–Nissan, Frenkel, Hind et al., Katti–Chauddhri, Tamura–Kurata, Auslander McAllister) fit values.
