摘要: Summary Although partial demagnetization is an effective means of selectively removing soft unstable magnetization from igneous rock specimens, leaving the more stable thermoremanent relatively unaffected, process may also add a spurious component to specimen, which in some cases, sufficient obscure magnetization. Several studies this have been made test effects external constant fields, gradients alternating field, suppression even harmonics wave form, and different modes “tumbling” sample within field. Proper selection mode appears be most important these factors.
