摘要: Abstract Open-Celled silicon carbide (SiC) foams were prepared from a mixture of boron-modified polycarbosilane as preceramic polymer and poly(methymetacrylate) (PMMA) microbeads sacrificial agents. The process consists in the cross-linking liquid allylhydridopolycarbosilane (AHPCS, SiC precursor) with borane dimethylsulfide (BDMS, boron source) to form solid an adjusted degree. latter is mixed PMMA (25 μm) 20:80 ratio warm-pressed at 120 °C forming consolidated green bodies be pyrolyzed 1000 under argon deliver open-celled interconnected porosity 73.4 vol%. These combine low density compressive strength 3.49 ± 0.56 MPa thermal mechanical stability up 1300 °C.
