摘要: Goals: We investigated the learning parameters of immersion technique for assessment marked villous atrophy (MVA), during routine esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD). Background: The offers a proven possibility enhancing sensitivity endoscopy in detecting duodenal patterns. Study: Nine endoscopists with at least 2 years experience, who had previously been trained to perform technique, searched villi EGD. In 2-year study, were evaluated underwater duodenoscopy 432 patients from whom biopsies been, various reasons, obtained. endoscopic findings compared histology. water and accuracy subjects MVA observed. Results: A total 28 (6.5%) identified by endoscopists. All these diagnosed as being celiac patients. sensitivity, specificity, (positive negative predictive values) patterns, irrespective endoscopist performed examination, always 100%. Conclusions: evaluation duodenum can be efficiently regularly EGD after specific, brief training period. This procedure is simple, feasible, accurately detect
